What does that mean exactly? You had stability problems and attributed
it solely to using a QLE2562 vs. a QLE2462? What kind of problems did
you have?

The '--enable-qla' build option for enabling the the QLogic-provided
target driver is what you're referring to I assume? If so, some years
back, QLogic developed a target driver for SCST (for their FC HBA's)
softly called the "Git QLogic driver". This driver was a bit closer to
their mainline initiator driver. There was quite a bit of stability
issues around this driver back then, so at that time in ESOS, we
elected to keep the default QLogic SCST in-tree target driver and
found it to be much more stable (the SCST developers and community did
as well).
So you can use this option to use the QLogic-provided target driver,
although I would not recommend it. Its still a dated driver without
nearly as much tested as the SCST-provided driver, and recently the
QLogic Git repo has been unavailable, so no one was fetched new
sources for this driver in quite some time.
