Sorry for bombarding with loads newbie questions :)

As i am getting a U.2 + sata Storage server i have read about nvme over fabrics. I am using Infiniband and nvmeof seems to supported over IB. But is nvmeof supported yet? And do I really gain anything from it when compared to Infiniband RDMA?

Would mostly like to stay in out of the box solutions with as little customization as possible.

Hi Pekka,

NVMeoF via RDMA and Fibre Channel is supported in ESOS, however, you
should confirm that your application supports this protocol (your
initiator/client machines). I am only aware of modern Linux distros
that support NVMeoF at this time.

With InfiniBand, you will probably find that SRP and iSER are better
supported, by more initiator types (at least for that particular
transport).
