Emulex LPe11002 support

Hello, I have Emulex LPe11002 HBAs and I like to use it with esos. How can I build esos with emulex lpfc driver? Thanks for reply

Hi,

I'm not familiar with these devices on linux as targets but they have proved a real PITA for me on both FreeBSD and Solaris based OS.

For the price you can pick up Qlogic devices on ebay for I'd say buy Qlogic for the targets and keep the others as spare initiators.

Hi,

You can do as Darren suggested, or you can build ESOS with the Emulex OCS SDK (--with-ocs_sdk=/path/to/archive.tgz) to use with Emulex FC / FCoE LPe15000, LPe16000, OCe11000, and OCe14000 series of adapters, as well as the XE201, XE4310R, and XE100-series controllers. I'm not sure if the LPe11002 HBA fits in one of those categories, but if it does, the 'ocs_fc_scst' driver should work for you.

Do like me...put your Emulex cards in your workstation and buy some qlogic for your ESOS SAN.

I've wasted too much in trying to make my emulex work.  It took me three days to have access to Emulex Developper Portal and then another two days to try to make the compilation work.

Hi, I replaced emulex by qlogic 2462 on targets and also on initiators. Emulex card has problems with booting, qlogic work without problems, so I recommend use qlogic instead emulex cards on targets and on initiators too.
