Hi Everyone,

I've been following Marc's posts on ESOS HA configs using ALUA in conjunction with either DRBD or LSI Syncho controllers.

The above blogs are a few years old.   Wondering if there are any updates / tested configs anyone is able to share that would apply to the master branch or any upcoming release that may be based on it.

I'm looking for shared storage options presenting either SAS, Hybrid (SAS+FLASH+bcache) or all flash blockstore via FC and iSCSI.

Thanks.

There hasn't been anything too significant that has changed since
then... ESOS HA clusters using DRBD for replication are still an
option. The Syncro controllers have been EOL'd since Broadcom swooped
in, so that's not really an option. The new thing is md-cluster
RAID1... I'm working on a POC at my day job now using an NVMe CiB and
md-cluster RAID1 arrays. Will hopefully have an article in the near
future to share for that project.

I'd recommend just buying good high-end storage (eg, flash) instead of
messing around with that hybrid stuff. Keep it simple.
