In Windows open Control Panel and search for Change security settingsit will open same windows as Internet Explorer Options Security tab:Select Restricted sites, click Sites and add there:*.kmpmedia.net*.pandora.tvcdn.kmplayer.com

Go back to 3.3 if possible, I decided to do that after I got sick of the new ad slider and other crap that Pandora packed in with the newest KMPlayer. 3.3 even works with Windows 8 64 bit, which I was worried that it would not work. I will not be upgrading it again since it sold out to Pandora!

I beg to differ. I just downloaded KMplayer and I cannot see any difference between to two. It's subjective of course. I did however notice that KMPlayer is not very responsive whilst player HD content. It took a good 20 secs to respond to commands.

With the default settings, most videos I've tried to watch in VLC look terrible compared to other players (MPC, KMPlayer). Changing some settings can improve it, but I've still never managed to get VLC to look as good as other players.

Guys, how can you say one looks better than the other, when both use the same codec to decode video (libavcodec)? Set both players to the same settings and the same renderer, and there will be the same results. This is also true for non-DXVA MPC-HC, BTW.

The most reponsive player I found and always use is Mplayer. There is a GUI but I dont use it much. Create a shortcut in sendto folder and open any video file that way. It plays almost everything, is very fast and keyboard controls are much better than everything else.

I search and found the solution, the internal codec didn't do well with HD file. So download and install lastest version of ffdshow and haali matroska splitter, then set KMPlayer to use (haali) external codec for HD file. Now I can play HD file without any problem.

i use kmplayer over vlc now. first, i find the image better. and second, when using vlc on my laptop, my graphics card never goes into 2d low power mode, always stays at low power 3d. always happens with vlc, with every driver i tried.
