ESN UNWE updates 2019/2020

Hello dear members, volunteers, alumni,

I hope you are all doing well, and I am sorry if I am bothering some of you (because I've just used all the mailing lists that exist..ups sorry again 😄)

This is an email I wanted to send you since a really long time but unfortunately due to the my busy busy (mostly ESN connected) schedule somehow I did not manage to do it by now. 

I would like to keep you all updated with the latest info about our lovely pandacorn section, and I hope this is gonna be interesting even for the alumni (cause you know, you haven't got an email from us since forever, so you can't event call it a spam.)

What did we achieved since the beginning of the year?

• OC of SEEP Sofia 2020 🌍 - I guess you all know it but once more our biggest achievement by now was being elected by 69 countries across the SEEP region to be the OC of SEEP Sofia 2020 which will take place in Sofia in late October / early November.
• OC of NP Black Sea 2020 🌅 - On Sunday, during the last NP of ESN Bulgaria we were elected for OC of the next NP which will take place on our seaside (location is yet to be confirmed) in July.
• Section's budget 💰 - We have increased our budget compered to previous years (no, we are no millioners.. yet 😂) which is due to a slowly higher grant from the UNWE IRO, some events for our erasmus with a small fee, and profit from our merch. Because of that we were able to make promo stickers for SEEP Sofia and also leaflets promoting us and the Erasmus+ program
• Merchandise 🎁 - Yes, finally we've managed to have some merch - stickers, keyholders,T-shirts and bags branded with our logo. 
• Volunteers 👥- We did have around 40 people wanting to be a buddy of an Erasmus student.
• Events💃- Since the beginning of September we did organise the incredible 24 events! Thanks to everyone of you who helped us out!
• ESN Essentials Training 📚 - We did have a free training event for new members and volunteers.
• Erasmus+ Days & Erasmus Info meeting together with our IRO💡- We did participate in a series of events aiming to promote the Erasmus+ program among the students in UNWE, more of them are about to come, if you have any ideas regarding this, let us know. 
• Partnership with the UNWE Student Council 🙌- Can you imagine this? For me it's hard to think of it too, but it's a fact. We will see how our partnership is gonna work, but overall the SC is interested in what we're doing, and also willing to help us with SEEP.
• Collaboration with student clubs and organisations 💫- Apart of our succsessful collaboration wtih the Eco Club UNWE (since some years already), we are now collaborating with the most impactful students organisations in UNWE - AIESEC and SAIMO, in fact we are organising a common event together - Day of the International Student in UNWE, details will be announced soon.
• Our own office in UNWE 🙊 - Since some time we've got an idea of trying to get our office in UNWE which we will share with the Eco Club. We've been working hard on it, and we've just got an update from the University management that in the moment they are unable to provide us with one, but on 21st of May will be the opening of the newest building of the University, and there is a big possibility to get an office there. We do hope for it, and we will try to make it happen.
• Article about Erasmus+ and ESN📰 - our LR - Alex Shargov got interviewed by the UNWE newspaper, and the article is getting published soon, we are very excited!
• Stars Awards 2020🌟 - Stars Awards is the annual awards ceremony of the whole Network during which the most succsessful events/initiatives throughout ESN get awarded. This year we did apply in the category Enviormental Star with the event we organise together with the Eco Club - EcoMarathon. Fingers crossed!
