Tucker came to live with us on 1/13/2001 from the KC Heartbandits Chapter run by Annie Jones at that time.  He was adopted once, but came back and stayed with us for the rest of his life.  He was 18 years old. Tucker and Jazmyn were best friends and he greived when she passed.  He never really had another buddy since then, except for maybe Happy Jack.  The last year or so he has really been showing his age and as you could see in the Christmas Dinner Video he was getting weaker every day.

He had a great week this week. Almost like his old self following Perry around while he worked.  About 4am he woke us up this morning.  I took him out and he took a last walk around the yard and collapsed.  I carried him back in and held him until he passed at 1:06pm this afternoon.  As he was leaving I kept telling him I Love You Tucker.  I told him it was ok to go play with Jazmyn and to tell her and everyone that we love them too.

Rest in peace, sweet boy--how wonderful it is that you experienced love for so many years later in your life.  You're with Jazmyn now, and I know my beloved Nookie has already introduced herself to you...

Least I keep my complacent way, I must remember somewhere out there a person died for me today. As long as there is war, I ask and I must answer, was I worth dying for?        Eleanor Roosevelt

I’m so sorry to hear of Tucker’s passing. What a great dog — I remember him as just about the only one in the pack that could outrun Jazmyn with any regularity. She just couldn’t keep up with his quick turns and switchbacks.

What a beautiful soul. It's never easy. The video is wonderful. They're up there chasing each other around again. My heart is with you both.
