Most of you know we have our dogs in a prison program where inmates work with the dogs on obedience, house training, socialization, etc.
They have their own grooming program. The employees bring their dogs to work and the guys groom them. The money they make they take a percentage and donate to a rescue or shelter. I JUST found out tonight they have been donating money to the dog that was shot in Zanesville while in the line of duty who was led to believe to be paralyzed. I “think” his name is Bosco. The dog has made a remarkable recovery. The guys have been donating money towards his care. One o the handlers told me tonight Bosco is scheduled for a visit to see the guys. The visit is scheduled during the end of January beginning of February. (Don just got off the phone with the prison and she confirmed it). The officer isn’t able to bring Bosco in sooner because he is working with a new dog, etc.
I am so excited and I can’t tell you how proud I am of the guys. The things they have done with this program is just amazing!!

The guys are really looking forward to 2010 as they have a lot of different things they are wanting implement for the program.
