Hi,

Glad to know the initiative is still alive.

I can see lot many people are interested in getting the website up and running. I know a website designer in India who has done something similar.

Here is the work she has done

www.muktanganedu.org.

atmamumbai.org. This organisation works with other NGOs that provide education and helps them become self sufficient.

How about talking to these organisations and finding out what it takes to setup and run a non profitable organisation? Have you guys thought of working in collaboration with one of these organisations? I guess it would save lot of bureaucratic work….

Let me know if you want me to go ahead and ask the designer to cut some designs. She may do the work for free but I haven’t spoken to her about money yet…

Once we have the design, I can put some working website up and running….have we registered the organisation and the domain??….also happy to discuss ideas about the website if there are any software programmers in the group

Thank you Rajesh for the offer and posting another important piece of information,

A couple of us had once thought of giving "esitrust.org" as the domain name, so it would be great if you can communicate with the person (you mentioned) who can do this job for us. Well, if she can do it for free then we shall be indepted to her, but is very fair that she charges us for the efforts she will put. I don't know how many of us will be ready to make a contribution, I am certainly ready to contribute (perhaps pay the full amount if it's not too high). Kirtikumar would be the best person to ask for his suggestions about the website management.

About registering the Trust, I think Vijayendra Chavan and Abdul Rehman were ready to take the responsibility at that time. But I am not sure if they are still willing to do this. Abdul has already registered an NGO, so I think he can be the best person to handle it. I am ready to send my signed application form to him or anyone else also willing to add his/her signature. About the state of registration, I think it can be any like M.P. (convenient of Abdul) or M.S. (convenient for Vijay) as we are going to mention the "area of action" as "India" and not just one or two states in India. Well I am going to be in India for 2 weeks in December (2 days in Mumbai) - if I can be of any help at that time, then please let me know.

About collabration with already existing educational trusts: I don't know what to say about that as I know vey little about it. I would be happy to accept any decision made or suggested by majority of members.

We should be indeed very grateful to Mr Rajesh for his work towards the development  of this trust (ESIT).

Suresh

Well ,
since i also have little experience in webdesigning and management, so i can tell that the cost of making and running a full website for a NGO would probably be under rupees 1000 per year and im having no problem in making a part or full contribution for this thing.

while regarding registration of trust , now im also in mumbai , so the best option for all of us would be maharashtra state although i still not have much info on the proccedure here as laws in maharastra are a bit different then in M.P. , but if i can get a company from other members here then we can do it surely.
