Dear All:
I think its necessary that we should start our activities - at least
those which will require non-monetary help!
It will be very much welcome, if the members from india, who would
like to volunteer to provide some data/proposal regarding any school/
college or students that needs our attention, express their
willingness.
Here in this thread we need only the names of volunteers!!!
So that we will know the practicality of our ideas.

Once we identify the volunteers:
We will expect them to provide us some information about appropriate
schools/colleges which they feel should be provided with
aid. .. ...they need to talk to the school authorities, get an
overview how we can help them (be precise), get a tentative estimate,
put it in our discussion forum your proposal for views of all our
members. .. ...I am very much positive if we have this information in
hand then whatever may be the cost we all members can bear it (by the
way, I talked to some members personally and they are willing to
provide upto 500€ but for that we need to produce such a proposal- --
---which should not require money). .. ...because this way it will be
more clear to all members that the money is going for this cause and
also the process will be faster. .. ...because we already done 50% of
work. .. ...!
Also volunteers can come up with 2-3 proposals which they feel are
suitable (may it be sponsoring some child in primary school/
college. .. ...but for this he must provide in the forum about his
financial condition or his academic ability. .. ...so that we can have
healthy discussion) also it will be good if he could confirm from the
school or college authorities about the expenses that will be incurred
to sponsor this student's education. .. ...this way we will know this
much amt is needed for us to organize and we can supply him the money
directly.
It will be good if we could discuss atleast three such proposals and
go ahead with the best amongst them!
And it wont be a bad idea to help the candidate schools or students
even before registering the trust!! Because as this is all based on
mutual trust/faith.

So please, those who would like to volunteer to provide such proposal
should express their willingness by entering their names in this
thread.

Greetings
Kirti

I dont think, we should do this at this stage when we are not even
organized (we need a bank account on the Trust's name, we dont have
Trustees, we need to regiser our Trust), we cant use the Trust's
name....as it is not yet legal. If some wants to still help people,
they can do that theirself or with the help of any number of people
may they be from this group or not, but, not on the name of this
Trust.

I suggest, please dont rush into it, think once more and discuss with
others.... and I agree people can start some basic activities like
getting information and submitting proposals but we should not offer
any financial help on this Trust's name before Trusts legalization.

I have been discussing people already inviolved in one or more similar
trusts, about the possibility of having a bank account before its
registration. but still waiting for the right and complete
information. I also went through the formalities of the registrating a
Trust, and it seems we only need to fulfill minimal requirements for
documnetation, and we need to have minimum 2 trustees and a nominal
registration fee of about Rs 2000 depending upon the state in which
you want to do that... so not a big problem... At the same time i have
been looking for some one in India who can take these efforts to
register the Trust and open a bank account.... some suggested SBI
while others ICICI..... May be by looking this message... if someone
or a group of more than one people want to volunteer any of these two
activities or even both...that would be great...

By the way, identifying volunteers, by gathering information or
inviting calls for proposals will help us fill up the time
lag. .. ...and members will be more clear about the problems raised by
our volunteers and also it will clear that how much money is to be
organized! So I dont think its hampering our progress in the right
direction!

secondly,

> If some wants to still help people,
> they can do that theirself or with the help of any number of people
> may they be from this group or not, but, not on the name of this
> Trust.

Is that an encouragement for making new group that will be comprised
of people who want to help needy ones on fast track basis?
By the way, if the trust is not registered, by the time we finalize
the proposals from our volunteers. .. ...then its not necessary that
we should use trust's name while helping the people - we can do it
through our google group which is quite well developed. .. ...and I
hope our motive is to help people- -- ---and if we help it wont be
illegal ;-)

It will be good if all members will express themselves! because this
group belongs to the members and volunteers who want to help!

By the way, identifying volunteers will take atleast 2 weeks!

then collecting proposals from them should take around 40 days (its
essential because our volunteers will also be students or the persons
doing jobs) so we should give them atleast this much time for their
proposals

Then these proposals should be open for discussion atleast for 2 weeks
(looking at the hibernated members we must assume this much period for
reviewing)

if you see like this we will have enough time to register the trust!
and by the time its registered we are in a position to immediately
start our activities- -- ---of circulating money to the needy ones.

I guess this should be convincing enough!

I appreciate Vijayendrakumar's help for legalization of the
trust.....I hope very soon we would able to register the trust...Once
our trust is legalized then our way is clear to help the candidates
from schools (after discussing and finalising the right proposal).

cheers
pravin
