Nice product, poor customer service

The product has very nice packaging and was simple process to get started. Paired nicely with my Samsung Galaxy S4 phone and ran through a few practice calls and voice activated commands to start music.
All very nice so far. Then it happened, one of the headsets would not power on. Narrowed it down to the specific head set and called customer support.
After hard resetting the head set and relaying back to support that it still did not work began the real lack of customer support.
I was informed that in order to get warranty work done I needed to give them my e-mail address (no problem) then wait for e-mail to find out where to send proof of purchase. Then I would get another e-mail with the RMA request form to fill out. Once that was returned to them I would have to wait for the return RMA to return the headset that did not work.
This is where I decided rather then play their paper chase game I would return the product and try on of their competitors products. If you can't get decent support on a brand new product what would happen if you needed assistance halfway through the warranty period. . .

Great Product but the wired mic doesn't work...

The Sena10R - why did I buy this over the other brands? It was slim and sexy and it makes it so the left side of my head doesn't have a knob on it.
I ride here in the mean streets of Austin, TX. and needed an advanced method to communicate with my fellow biker(s). I researched the interwebs with the help of the mighty google and found these nice toys.
Amazonians you know the drill - 2Day shipping is 2Day shipping. Got it fast and was excited to install it.
The wiring was a bit clunky but C'est la vie right? Installed the wired mic because the boom mic was larger. (wanted to keep everything slim)
Turns out the first wired mini mic died on the first helmet and I replaced it with a boom mic - works great but the wired mic issue still lingered...
Installed the second one on my fellow rider's helmet and it worked! Wired mic works! - Went riding for 2 hours and around the 2 hour and 13 minute mark his voice was very very low. Double checked everything, batteries, lights etc. and double checked ourselves and couldn't figure it out. We rode another hour or so until I couldn't hear him talking at all.
Went back home installed the boom mic on his and it worked great - loud and clear good buddy!
So moral of the story - these devices work great. The wired mics do not - install the boom mics and be happy from the start.
Might have to contact Amazon to see what we can do about exchanging the wired mics as I do not like holding onto stuff that doesn't work.

Excellent product

This is a great product. Both my sons purchased these and think they are great also. I unpackaged the Sena and was impressed with he packaging. I was able to route the wires and mount the Sena, ear speakers and microphone in my full face helmet with little trouble. Within minutes of powering the unit on I was ale to connect to my iPhone. I was streaming music, listening to GPS direction s and answering call easily. I took a call from my son while I was on my VTX 1800 going about 70 MPH and he couldn't tell I was been on my bike. Furthermore, I was surprised to find out he was also on his Triumph Street Triple and heading to work.
I do wear Held Racing gloves while I am riding and have had no trouble fast forwarding to the next song, answering calls and receiving GPS directions from MotionX. I highly recommend this product anew can vouch for its usability.
By the way it is loud enough that I can hear my music even at high speeds. Don't get me wrong, you're not going to hear deep base or fantastic high but this provides a decent sound and the ability to answer calls regardless on how fast you are going.
