Want to be the first Duke student an employer meets? Desire personal interaction with employer representatives? Join the Career Center Employer Ambassador Team What are employer ambassadors?Employer ambassadors serve as the primary point of contact for employers when they are on campus conducting information sessions or other events, such as the Career Fair. Ambassadors greet employer representatives when they arrive as well as strive to meet any logistical needs employers may have, such as assisting with room and materials set-up. Why participate? Employer Ambassadors have a unique opportunity to interact with employers early in the process as well as the ability to learn more about the recruiting process and enhance their networking skills. Ambassadors will have the opportunity to sign-up for those employers of interest to them. Program Requirements:Students volunteer for the entire school year, both fall and spring semesters, though students only in school in the fall will also be considered. During busy recruiting times, Ambassadors will be expected to sign-up for 1-2 events per week. Most of these events will take place in the late afternoon / early evening. The program is open to rising sophomores, juniors and seniors. After reviewing resumes and applications, selection will be based upon a short interview. An orientation / training session will be held at the beginning of school. How can I apply?Submit a cover letter and resume to the Career Center in 110 Page or email it to scott....@duke.edu.
