Fifa 23 on pc keeps freezing mid game for a few seconds then comes back after few moments but my opponent is still playing, happens like 5 times every game. super annoying, does anyone know a fix? i have a super computer (3090) with fiber internet, no reason for this to be happening i have all drivers updated also
I also have this problem, I have tried clearing my cache, my drivers are up to date, tried changing my Nvidia settings in the control panel and nothing seems to fix it. I've also installed and reinstalled the game too and there seems to be no fix.
@RyzenT7 there's literally 0 fix and they're not helping us anyway... I have the same problem, my game freezes mid game for a few seconds 10-20 (while my opponent can keep playing and score goals) and then it comes back. It is not worth to play the game this way, its really bad. As its literely unplayable I'll try to get my money back if no fixes arrive, though I really doubt they will refund me.
2 or 3 times per match, freezes that take around 5 sec. offline is anoying and frustrating but online is really bad because as OP says, other player still playing, so we can seffer a goal without any chance.
Is like the game is reading/writing something in the middle of the match and it stops...it is unacceptable in a football game (here there are no cutscenes every 5min to the game uses to load in background)
This issue was present in last 2 or 3 FIFA and never solved. i think in FIFA 21 or FIFA 20 change my documents from drive solved my issue, last year did not solved and this year i will not try. Please solve the issue in your (EA) side. i have a Ryzen 5 3600, Geforce 2060 super, 16 RAM, without any other app running in backgroud, the issue is your game and not my pc.
sincerarly I doubt we will get an answer at all. This is such a joke, I had the same problem on FIFA 21 but is was rare, now as ap_serrano said this happens 1-3 times in every match. Ridiculous that I paid and cant play.
I made room on my momory to have this dedicated space on my pc and BOOM! it worked, never froze mid game again, so i dont know the reason behind it, but its been working out for more friends as well, and it could be a guarantee
try to free up some space and let me know if it works for ya
make sure to have at least 100gb available on your pc, i dont know if this is something fixable on future updates, but its been working for some of us

Has this happened to anyone on manager mode because I had started a second manager mode season for the sign 50 pleayers achievement but im half way through the season and i go to sim the match and it always freezes at 3%, so i thought id start a new one, and its all going fine, im in my 3rd season with 40 signings then i go to sim a match at it always freezes at 5%, so this is stopping me from getting that achievement:(.
This has happened to me.. half way through the 3rd season, and it freezes at 8% all the time, whether i sim/play the game and i have brought about 40 players aswell and i have tried resetting squads but that doesnt seem to solve the problem
i did my purist season and when i finised it i started signing loads ov players! got to 31 players and then it starts freezing! then i started a new manager mode signed way more than 50 playerd but no achievement!
Don't start a new season, how about just playing the game for when it freezes? I know you may not want to play, but its better than doing it all over again. Play the game and try and simulate from there on and see how it does. Hope this helps.
I feel for you though, this game is full of glitches and bugs hopefully they will bring out a patch for it soon. I don't know how I can help, if it keeps freezing at the same place no matter what then I don't know what to do. I can't remember if there is an option but can u like resign as manager and take charge of another team? That way u will have more money and more players to buy. I am sure if its on the same save file its the same career so why shouldn't it count? It's just a question of can you resign as manager? Let me know if this helps.
Hey guys, check your team is picked properly, not just by the computer, before you sim. I had a problem in Be-A-Pro where players disappeared and were replaced by Blank Goalkeepers with squad number 52. This freeze may be related somehow. Let me know.
Like many of you I sat down at my Xbox yesterday at quarter to six and watched the EA SPORTS timer count down to reveal the FIFA 14 Early Release download. @Medi i can play normal games without a problem. but when i play in the ultimate team modus my console is freezing AFTER every game at the loading screen back to the menu.. i still get the coins but the i loose the progress as well.. so lol
After i play one hour my game is freezing i can't do anything from my pc everythimg it freeze i can't even restart my pc i can't even use my keyboard also then i have to push the button to restart on my pc
Yes it happened every save when i play on full screen maybe bug or my graphic card problem it happening only with my AMD card idk maybe on my software AMD but when i play with window mode i can finish season without any freeze
