The MASC lab at UC Santa Cruz is planning to host a full-day tutorial about ESESC at ISCA 2014 in Minneapolis on June 14 (http://cag.engr.uconn.edu/isca2014/).

The ESESC tutorial at ISCA will have some overlap with the material that we presented at MICRO 46 in December (http://masc.soe.ucsc.edu/esesc/log/2013/09/24/tutorial/).  However, we will also present a lot of new material.  I am hoping to have a more concise coverage of how to use ESESC and expand the material on how to develop ESESC during the ISCA tutorial.  We might also look at some experimental features such as GPGPU simulation and results from recent projects using ESESC.

We will start creating the content for the tutorial soon, and I expect that we will have an outline for the tutorial posted in a couple of weeks.  However, I wanted to make an announcement now to see if there is any feedback or suggestions from users on the mailing list.  Feel free to respond to the list, or to email me, if you have ideas about things you would like to see in the tutorial.  Even if you aren't planning to attend ISCA, we welcome your input, and hopefully you'll find the slides that we create for the tutorial useful.  Of course the best way to learn more about ESESC is to attend the tutorial if you can.

Thanks,

-Gabriel

Thanks to everyone who attended the tutorial.  We hope it was useful and look forward to seeing new ways that ESESC might be used.  We will update the blog with the slides from the tutorial soon, but in the meantime I've uploaded them to Dropbox and they are available at the following link:

All of the tutorial presenters are also attending ISCA and would be happy to discuss ESESC more with other attendees during the conference.
