I really like various pickles which are generally free foods on slimming world. Particular favorites are peperdew peppers. I stuff them with lidl mini mozerella balls broken in two (mozerella is one of the lower syn cheeses).
At Christmas i did a kind of antipasta starter with stuffed perperdew, lots of different coloured cherry tomatos, olives, various sliced lean meats all arranged on a wooden board, rocket, mozerella, bread sticks and warm dough balls. Very easy to buy in advance and quite social food.
In my experience there is no such thing as a SW friendly desert that isn't fruit salad or jelly. The raspberry roulade thing tastes weird and has a very starge texture. I would not be impressed if I went to a dinner party and that was the desert, nor would I if it was quark or muller light based.
It's one meal. I'd do the starter and main sw friendly (not that hard just do the usual swaps oil for fry light etc) and do a proper desert.
We did the Trinidadian curry when we had friends over because it's a good one to prep early and leave simmering.
I think if you've shown willing with the starter and main you can do a proper dessert with a SW option.
