On iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max, the Always-On display setting allows a dimmed version of your Lock Screen to stay visible, even when your iPhone is locked. By glancing at the dimmed screen, you can check essential information, like notifications, the date and time, and information in your widgets.
The display automatically turns off when iPhone is either face down or obstructed from view, not near a paired Apple Watch, when a CarPlay session begins, while Continuity Camera is in use, while Low Power Mode is on, while
If you're not seeing "always on", you could contact the developer fro the watch face and ask that it be adapted for this. Also, for this to work, you have to be wearing the watch, as if the watch is taken off, the Wrist HR sees that, and turns off the display to save battery.
I have the same frustrating issue. Brand new Venu, and entire display goes dark with all of the defualt watchfaces. It does this whether in sleep time or not. I've updated the watch software (to 3.60) and reset the watch. Is this unit defective?
I just received my Venu from Amazon UK 2 days ago. The screen flickers constantly. I was using the "Crystal" watch face from a third party. I have changed back to the default Venu display and I'm sure it still flickers but it's just not quite as noticable.
I'm wondering if it's caused by me having it set up to monitor my heart rate and oxygen levels constantly. It could be draining the power going to the display every second. I paid a high amount to have these two features so I am not sure what to do.
So I have just realised that the Fitbit app appears to override the always on display settings whole recording exercise. Noticed when I logged a 2 hour walk and it halved my battery. Anyone else noticed this or a way to stop it?
Yesterday I tried an R5 for the first time and my comments are the same as yours. As I never use the rear screen for composing my picture I cannot see why it should always be in live view. It would be more useful if my settings were displayed as they are on my 5D mk4.
The Aura Carver 10.1" HD Digital Frame is a great way to put your portfolio on display and a great way to surface forgotten memories. The colors are vibrant, and the build quality is solid, but the Carver isn't without a few quirks.
The display of the Galaxy phone is set to turn off when not in use, and only appears when you tap the phone screen. However, you can set the device to display information while the screen is turned off. Refer to the guide below to set up this feature, which is the Always On Display feature.
AS digital watches get more popular so does the need to have the time displayed. When using a watch at and for work it is annoying to have to flick your wrist to see time. So always on display is an ever increasing feature to attract users as the watch is mostly a time displayer not only a notification device. Why do so many people still use the casio and timex as it shows the time.
Thank you, these pictures and video look nice and visibility of the current and planned trajectory are good. I guess the main question if the floating lines still offer enough 3D cues. Maybe you can show the trajectories as true 3D lines (tubes) and make the 2D floating lines semi-transparent. This way you would still have strong 3D cues and keep the trajectories always visible. Keep us updated how well it works!
I asked Google Workspace Support this question few times over the years. While the answer above works in most emails, for some senders option 'Images from this sender are always displayed. Don't display from now on' is missing. Support cannot tell why.
@DUSKvsDAWN Hello, well, you have no other choice but to put the phone in Safe Mode and verify the behavior of Always on display. If the problem does not persist in Safe Mode, you will have to uninstall apps to verify which one is causing it.
I've got a Galaxy S7 and for some reason spotify shows what song is playing on the Always on display, isnt there a setting to remove that? I've tried blocking notifications both in regular and advanced settings, aswell as in the Lockscreen-settings.
I don't want to press buttons in order to see the time (because that requires me to do something extra which isn't needed with other watches). I don't want some special wake function (that reacts too late). I don't even want to move my wrist with some fancy "quick view" (that's yet another feature). I don't want to even have to google "fitbit always on display". Do you know how long it took me to figure this out? 5 or 10 minutes. Imagine that times 10 million. That's millions of wasted minutes. If you're interested, I have a screenshot.
I want the display to be there all throughout the day. Something that I can rely on. Is that such a big ask? I don't think it is. Look at all watches (mechanical and otherwise). They ALL show the time. Even half a million dollar watches. Right? Forget the other information like heart rate or steps for a minute. I just want to see the time! At the very least, that's what a smart watch should be able to do, show you the time. Because it's a watch. That's why it's called "smart watch". Something that shows a clockface. I SHOWED YOU THE MONEY. NOW HOW ABOUT YOU "SHOW ME THE TIME!" hahaha
That's one reason, the primary reason, to wear any sort of watch in the first place. In fact the default clockface should be "always on", and the battery saving, screen-saving feature should be quick view or press a button or whatever.
You as the developers should know that just because more people ask for something, doesn't mean it's going to be good for everyone as a whole. And so it has 3593 votes. And the "always on" clockface has 115 votes. So what? That doesn't mean that water reminders need 30 times the attention as the previously requested always-on display. Does it? Anyone can get votes. But do they matter? Who voted? Often millenials don't know what's good for them. With age, time that is, comes experience. Just because something has been thought of (and voted for a thousand times) doesn't mean it's going to be good. And letting the everyday Joe Blogs design something isn't always the best idea. Just watch the episode of The Simpsons where Homer designs a car to do everything that he wants. The result is so hideous, no one buys the car. There's a reason why people study design and UI/UX at university. Because some people care more about making well-designed technology.
Agree that this feature would be a huge help. Often when I'm working out my charge 4 vibrates to notify me of something but when I look down the screen is black. It usually takes a couple flicks of the wrist to get it to display. It would be a lot more motivating if I could just look down and see what it was trying to tell me (i.e. usually that I'm in fat burn or cardio or whatever) without the extra hassle. I've taken to just ignoring it entirely while working out, which kind-of defeats the purpose.
Just got my new Charge 4, which I chose after seeing the display of the clock face in the ads. I was attracted to this model thinking that I could use my fitbit, rather than the clock on the computer in the exam room (inconvenient), when I need to take a pulse (fortunately, not often)! I am a nurse and it would be helpful to have the option of leaving the clock face display on. I need at least 15 seconds to take a patient's pulse, this display doesn't even stay on that long! I have barely enough time to read the date, time and my own HR, the screen is busy! Misleading.
The same as many above posters. It looked in the store like the display could be always on. I bought it and brought it home now to find that it does not have an always on mode. How incredibly disappointing. Seriously, whoever is in charge of design that left this out, or worse, actively decided that it was not to be a feature needs fired. Today. Replaced by someone who has a clue of what your consumers actually want and use.
Same thing as whatever everyone else has said. Surely it would take someone a few minutes to provide the AOD option for those that want to use it. Disappointed with our recent purchase now as trying to activate the display during exercise is both unreliable and distracting. Would absolutely forego battery life for the sake of activating AOD during exercise or while the stopwatch is active.
Curious to know how many people need to request this before someone actually does something about it.
Just bought the Charge 4 and returning it promptly. Beyond disappointed it lacks always on display like my previous MIO Fuze (actually a great product but discontinued). I just want HR and Always On for spin and cycling. Who are your product developers?
My series watch 7 does not stay "always on" , no one can help. I have the right settings, to display only on activated, the Theater mode is not on. I called t Apple tech support and they were not aware how to help. They just read me the same instructions I can read. Then they got a supervisor . I am very very frustrated. I really like the watch. It worked no problems the first day and then never stayed on after that. Each time I have to wake it up and unlock it. Is there a glitch in the series 7 watch always on or is my watch defective. In researching it seems like many people have the same issue. Would really appreciate Thanks Jerry
Have you managed to fix it? I am having exactly the same problem. Have everything switched on to use the always on feature but it just doesn't stay on. As soon as I lower my arm the screen goes blank
Here's what you need to do. Use the special accounts registry entry to hide the administrator account (and whatever other accounts you want to hide) from the login screen. Then, configure UAC to prompt for both a username and password, instead of just showing the clickable usernames. This will let you elevate to one of the hidden accounts, because it behaves much like the "do not display last username" setting does for the login. This is what it will look like; you can type in any (administator's) username:
