Professionals love and breathe their own industries. A stockbroker loves the stock market , a fashion designer swears by the fashion industry, a sportsperson lives and breathes the game, an auto industry veteran loves the desire with which people think about cars or bikes.

There is this passion for our own industry that all of us as professionals have. We see the evolution up close and front - so a movie expert knows how the movie production was and how it is now - a decade later. This inherent passion for the industry set me thinking about my own #PC industry of which I have been a part of for the last 18 years plus. And maybe Google too read my mind, as today's Doodle is also a person sitting on a PC typing a code. So here is my take on #lovemyPCindustry

1.Beautiful PC. Can anyone remember the old PCs and look at where the PC is now. The design, the styling, the sleekness, the materials, the brightness everything is so aesthetically beautiful now. Am sure the fashion industry too would be jealous of the evolution of the PC as it is now. We are in perpetuity just a couple of months to a new and improved version of the previous version PC. Well, there is always a new PC launch just around the corner.

3.Technology Tool PC - It is said that the speed of technology developments has never been so fast as in the last few years. And PC is such a ubiquitous tool that is doing it. Of course we need the power of the human brain but you definitely need the PC to make sure, what we humans dream comes to light. Remember the movie "Social Network" or even my all-time favorite comedy TV series - Big Bang Theory. The Hero always has to work on the PC :-)

4.Omnichannel PC - It is just a wonder to see the PC buying evolve. It has covered the whole spectrum of buying pattern - B2B, B2C, BYOD. We initially had the dealer fraternity assembling PCs, giving rise to retailers, the large wholesale distributors or the geography specific distributors, the Direct model came to being, the large formats came, e-commerce players started. The PC value chain has kept evolving with the times.

5.Children PC - During these lockdown times, I see the usage of PC getting even more pronounced. I see my kids go through Online classes on the PC as the whole school itself has shifted to online, playing games on PC, working on Scratch to try coding - makes me really glad to see my 12 year old son and my 7 year old daughter able to make best use of these challenging times.

6.Employment PC - I can personally thank for the employment that the PC industry has given to a whole lot of us. Even more pertinent is the knowledge in PC that helps lead to jobs. The government has had various times launched program for PC skills , leading to employment opportunities. Let's take the example of the Media industry and we see stories, opinions being typed out on PCs. Movies, advertisements are being edited on the PCs. The PC is able to provide technology to its users for creating cutting edge media content.

Friends in the PC industry would have their own versions of the #lovemyPCindustry and am sure a lot of you would have your own passion points for your own industries, would love to read about it on #lovemyindustry.
