Hi there,

OEM interviews don’t evaluate effort.
They evaluate readiness.

Here’s how that shows up in real EV and AUTOSAR hiring panels.

These are actual interview questions asked for AUTOSAR Engineer roles at Mercedes-Benz.

Q: What is the role of the AUTOSAR RTE (Run-Time Environment)?
A: RTE enables communication between application software components and the Basic Software, independent of the underlying ECU hardware.

Interviewers don’t stop at definitions.

Follow-up question they often ask:
How does the RTE interact with the OS and BSW to ensure timing and data consistency?

If this makes you pause, it usually signals a gap - not in AUTOSAR awareness, but in ECU-level software architecture understanding.

Many engineers don’t struggle with motivation. They struggle with measurement.

Without a clear benchmark, preparation can feel busy - but not convincing.

Because today, automotive and EV companies don’t hire based on effort alone.

They hire engineers who can:

  • Understand EV systems, not just individual components
  • Think in terms of control logic, communication, and validation
  • Explain technical decisions clearly under interview scrutiny

That belief - that readiness must be proven, not assumed

And it’s why Skill-Lync, in collaboration with IIT Jammu, created the Hike Season Scholarship.

This scholarship supports the PG Certification Program in EV & Autonomous Vehicle Technology.

As part of this limited-seat initiative, selected learners receive:

  • Scholarship support of up to ₹60,000
  • Access to real EV, electrical, and control system projects
  • Preparation aligned to OEM and Tier-1 electrical & EV hiring workflows

Only 100 54 seats available

If you’re done assuming you’re ready - and ready to start proving it - Talk to our experts!

Best Wishes,
Trisha
