Dear Muhammad,
Hi. Very happy to hear from you after a so long time. I hope you're OK.
I am fine and my family as well. After having served as Technical Adviser of Minister of Human Rights all the year 2007, I am actually working for the International Committee of The Red Cross as Assistant of Head of Delegation.
Ilook forward to read you soon.
Diku

Dear friends,
I am very happy to have the opportunity to contact you again after a sol ong silence. Stuart, I had recently your news through a fellow countryman who attended with you to a seminar in Namibia. I was deeply affected last year when I learned about the death of Professor Chanda due to a car accident.
Kamia where are you? Have you already left your job at the Office of High Commissionar for Human Rights in Angola? I got news of you by Michael Offermannh who were in Angola and works now in yaoundé for the Regional Center fo Human Rights and Democacy in Central Africa ( God knows how much this part of our continent lives in darkness with regard to democratic issues). The recent example of Mbeki would be followed by his peers beginning by the old Comrade Bob.

Nelly where are you? Charles , have you already achieved your Master degree in Human Rights at Chicago University?
" Tata" John , ndenge nini okoti nakati ya silence boye? Natindela yo ba e- mails kilikili , sans feed- back.
My beloved sister in Jesus Gertrude, I am still keeping the wonderful gift you offered me and I use it for my prayers.
Has one of you received any mail from Madhvi and Drudesisha, our colleagues from Mauritius?
Be all blessed.
Diku

Dear Diku and friends,

I have been meaning to reply but am generally awful at taking time to write to my friends...

Diku, its nice to hear that the world is small and you met my ex colleague Michael Offermann - he is a very interesting person with a lot of experience of Angola- and it will be interesting to see how gets along in Central Africa.

I am now working for UNDP, and am heading the Poverty Programme in the office- which means I spend a lot of my time trying to feed information into the system that is UNDP ! Its been a year, and I am still learning about the new procedures and forms and templates that need to be fillled before I can do X or Z. Its a lot more office work and less travelling then I had a human rights office.

Unfortunately, after leaving last September  due to many reasons, the UN Human Rights Office had problems with the Angolan Government and was subsequently closed down. Its a long , and quite sad story, but just to say that the UN no longer works on Human Rights as such- although some projects are still focusing on the human rights based approach. My ex- colleagues are now also working in other agencies such as UNICEF, UNESCO and IOM.

There is a vaccumm now regarding human rights promotion in Angola, but we have recently had sucessfull elections, and if any of you were following you will know that the ruling party won a landlslide victory and that a new Parliament and new mega sized Government has been elected. Things are stable and changing very fast, and I am sticking around to see how things evolve in the next few years.

Please let me know if any of you are passing through Angola as I have fond memories of all you and get a lot of pleasure in reading the ocassional emails from Charles, Diku and Teresa....

Teresa- you were a great host in Kenya and I didnt forget you!! I am waiting for you to visit me so I can show the best nightspots and beaches! Please make time in 2009!

with lots of hugs  to all of you, I look forward to hearing news from all across Africa and all the places you may be!

Hello Fellow African brothers and sisters, This is Muhammad F>D Lelatlhego from Botswana,We are still trying to come to terms with a new Administration here in Botswana and I hope by Allah things continue the way the seem to be at least lest we catch the African DISEASE.
As for Zimbabwe, last night there was a glimmer of Hope as We are made to believe another Kenyan STYLE government might be coming our way(new African Disease), you know in Africa, we are used to copying even bad things like Bombs, disrespect for parents etc.

We are busy trying to celebrate  the Anniverary of  The UDHR ON 10 DECEMBER,2008'WEILL KEEP YOU POSTED.
