Escondido Jaycees Strategy Meeting 2/10/19
Old Business
1. Leadership Training University Recap
-livestream was convenient and had no technical issues, but smaller breakout sessions were not covered
-livestream didn't have the same impact as being in the same room with hundreds of Jaycees from other chapters, but a lot was learned still
-there was a survey at the end of the livestream, and feedback was submitted
2. Check signers will be finished today.
3. Emails still need to be updated.
4. Grace Lutheran wants some extra parade programs- Dylan will bring them some this week.

Dylan will order
new member name tags from Glaser Bailey this week.
6. Brian will take care of tax forms this month with Kim's help.
7. Ingrid will create an invoice for parade t-shirts to be reimbursed, otherwise everyone else has been reimbursed.
8. Food budget for meetings- $30.
9. We will alternate between general meetings and socials each month.
New Business
1. Sunday, March 17th, 5pm- General Meeting followed by St. Patrick's Day party
-everyone bring an Irish-themed food or beverage
-Dylan will confirm location, and Bryan will create Facebook event and update website, etc.
2. Saturday, April 6th, 6pm- 68th Anniversary Dinner (on the exact date of our chapter's anniversary)
-looking into Mi Guadalajara (Zack has a connection with them, and he and Dylan will get the reservation)
-Board Members
will use a Google spreadsheet to create invitation list.
-Send invites by 2/22- Bryan will create evites for everyone, and
Ingrid
will create postcard invites to mail to alumni
-CA State President might want to visit since our chapter is overdue. (There is a National Conference that day, so not expecting anyone from National to come.)
-Everyone will pay for their own dinner, and we will ask for free soft drinks.

Monday, April 22nd-
Earth Day.
-We are looking into doing a related community service event on Sunday 4/21
-Dylan has a contact with the City of Escondido who does river cleanup days.

Sunday, May 19th, 6am (for setup)-
Grand Avenue Festival
-We want to continue being involved with a fundraising booth, discussed the pros and cons of serving pancake breakfasts, and came up with a couple alternative options- a refreshment station where we just serve
coffee, soda, and water, and
a continental breakfast with prepackaged food.
5. During May Fitness Month (looking at 4th, 5th, or 11th)- Dylan's sensei Akil Crawford is a field doctor/corpsman that might be a good speaker and might do a short fitness course or boot camp for us.
6. June social idea- attending a Padres game
7. Thursday, July 4th- idea to wear our red, white, and blue Jaycees shirts at Escondido's Independence Day Fireworks show
8. July General Meeting- idea to have an alumni
panel
with Dr. Jungman, Dr. Michel, and Wally to speak about past Jaycees involvement. Include wine tasting? Ask them for theme ideas?
9. Later this year- Ingrid knows a life coach who might be a good speaker for a general meeting.
