eSaude Community Logo

Hi all,

Part of what the global OpenMRS community offers local communities is logo design. I would like to put in a request for this service.

Does everyone agree this is a good idea? Or does anyone have an objection?

If you have an idea for the logo, please let me know and we can include your idea in the request to the designer.

Sure, I was hoping this thread could be used for collaborating on the logo. So far all I've done is ask how we can move ahead with the logo design. I'll be sure to keep this thread updated with the latest information.

Pascal - Did we ever get anything back from the OpenMRS global community?

I see attractive modern logos often have simple colors, simple lines, and abstract versions of recognizable shapes.  OpenMRS, for instance, has the first two features, but the shapes are just abstract, not recognizable. 

 

 

The OpenELIS logo is an example of a logo that says “lab” in a general way

 

 

Here are some examples of logos on the theme of “leaf” (I don’t suggest that the eSaude logo should have a leaf, but I think it’s a good example of what I mean by a recognizable, pleasant, shape)

As promised, I put together a couple of logos over the weekend to see what everyone thinks.  I’d love to hear your thoughts, and as usual, I won’t take offense to anything that’s said – so feel free to speak up if you dislike them!  It really won’t bother me one bit.

 

3 ideas attached in the PDF – if we don’t like any of them, we’ll mock up some new ones.  Feel free to say:

·        which one you like the most,

·        which one you like the least (or all),

·        what aspects you like about specific ones (e.g. - I like the concept of #1 or I like the color in #3 or I like the alternate text you proposed at the bottom)

·        totally new ideas to incorporate

·        totally new text you’d rather see

·        etc.

Great feedback!  Looks like the majority liked #3 the best, so I’ve incorporated the comments into that one and added a couple of variations to get more feedback and finalize it.
