2011 SA-ITF Inter-Provincial Champs -- How did it go?

So recently the 2011 SA-ITF Inter-Provincial Championships were held.
How did it go?

Let's talk about things you thought significant.

* Which techniques do you think scored the most points?

* Did the power breaking go well, and if so, who typically did the
best? The "big" people? Those with better technique?

* How did competitors apply the rules to their advantage? Or break the
rules to their advantage?

* Is there some social aspects you noticed, like a growth in the
number of female competitors or non-white competitors?

* Is there any specific competitors whom you thought did extremely
well? How about some new up and coming colour belts that you think has
the potential to become world champs one day?

* This year we have two National Championships, this Inter-Provincial
Championships with the best competitors from each province and an open
national champs later in the year. What do you think about it?

* Or any other observations, questions, etc.
