Thisdocument describes the original JSON format for the actionable message card format. For actionable messages sent via email, this has been replaced with the Adaptive Card format. Microsoft recommends that new actionable message integrations use the Adaptive Card format, and existing integrations consider updating to Adaptive Card format. The Adaptive Card format is required to support Outlook on iOS and Android. However, if you are sending actionable messages via an Office connector, or to a Microsoft Teams connector, you must continue to use the message card format.
Cards are meant to provide easy to read, at-a-glance information that users can very quickly decipher and act upon when appropriate. As such, the guiding principle for designing great card is "content over chrome," which means cards are straight to the point and minimize the use of anything that would be distracting such as icons or custom colors.
If your card represents a single "entity", you may be able to get away with not using any section. That said, sections support the concept of an "activity" which is often a good way to represent data in a card.
Cards are very powerful in the sense that they allow users to take quick actions without leaving their email client. When designing cards, consider making them actionable, as that will increase user engagement and productivity.
Although links can be achieved through Markdown, an OpenUri action has the advantage of allowing you to specify different URIs for different operating systems, which makes it possible to open the link in an app on mobile devices.
When an HttpPOST action is executed, a POST request is made to the URL in the target field, and the target service needs to authenticate the caller. This can be done in a variety of ways, including via a Limited Purpose Token embedded in the target URL. For more information and help on choosing the security mechanism that works best for your particular scenario, please see Security requirements for actionable messages.
HttpPOST actions can include the CARD-ACTION-STATUS HTTP header in their response. This header is meant to contain text that indicates the outcome of the action's execution, whether it has succeeded or failed.
The value of the header will be displayed in a consistent way in a reserved area of the card. It is also saved with the card so it can be displayed later on, so users can be reminded of the actions that have already been executed on a given card.
Refresh cards are a very powerful mechanism that allow HttpPOST actions to fully update the card on the fly as the action successfully completes. There are many scenarios that benefit from refresh cards:
By default, an ActionCard action will be represented as a button or link in the card's UI. When clicked, that button will display an additional piece of UI containing the inputs and actions defined in the action card.
When an InvokeAddInCommand action is executed, Outlook first checks if the requested add-in is installed and turned on for the user. If it is not, the user is notified that the action requires the add-in, and is able to install and enable the add-in with a single click. Outlook opens the requested , making any initialization context specified by the action available to the add-in.

They bait you into a hard pull on your report. Sending you false pre-quals in the mail, then hitting you with an HP. So I called them about the hp, and the woman goes on her typical *read off script* speech about how I was pre-approved based on my credit file from creditors. I said that's not true, if you still needed a hard pull on my report. She then tweaked her initial response with, I was pre-approved from my name given to them by the creditors, and they needed to access my report to see if I can be approved. I responded, then you guys are liars, and you bait people into hard pulls with your subprime CC and false pre-qual letters. At this point she realized I wasn't (average Joe) and her demeanor changed into frustration. So for more kicks, I continued to see how much she knew, and asked her, "Okay since the card is being processed now, can I decline it when it arrives by not activating the account?" She literally tells me that once they charge their $75 that the card is activated. LOL I said, have you ever gotten a credit card before? What card have you gotten that is activated through the mail?
After about 10 minutes of me talking to a script reader, I told her to cancel the so-called pre-qual immediately, so that I can seek removal of the inquiry they put on my report. They pulled TU by the way, and I'm in no need of another subprime, although they claim you can receive up to $1500. More times than not they will give you the minimum, which in their case is $350. How I got to that point to begin with, was me trying to see what they would extend me based on my profile, and then decline the offer. When I got to the SSN part, I should've went with my gut telling me, this is where they fool you. Full SSN and not the typical last four digits.
Ummm I think you are the one that is misinformed here... I do not know of a single company that sends mail pre-quals that don't do a hard pull when you actually apply. Amex, chase, Discover, Cap1 all will do a HP even if you have a prequal. They do this since your report may have changed since the SP they did to generate the prequal. every time you apply for credit you should expect a HP even with the SCT.
+1 Most soft pulls are the preapprovals, the hard pull is the final decision. that is how i see it, and that is it 99% of the time. The SCT is a TRICK thats been around 4 years. It cant last forever.. Once in a while people get TWO cards with one HARD pull from same company, but every new account especially with a bank is a hard pull. The card is inactive for mail fraud protection, but your account was active and reportable as such the second it spit out approved.
I got that one in the mail today and in the shreddar it went. Anytime a prequalified mailed starts with "can recieve up to 1500" and "most cutomers recieve a and intial credit limit of 350" Its garbage. And like others said a final decsion will result in a HP.
This card is Pure garbage. if you read the back it says there is a 75$ annual fee, 20$ annual fee if you have an Authorized user, and a "setup maintenance fee" These crappy cards probably make the majority of there profit off their fees they charge rather than the intrest because the limits are so low, most people PIF anyways.
Well sorry but we're gonna have a disagreement then, and no I'm not misinformed. I received TWO pre-quals with my First Premiers, and NEITHER hard pulled me. Whether people like those cards or not, but to tell me I'm misinformed is way off base. So we have two different experiences, then neither would be incorrect, and it would appear to be up to the lender/creditor.
