Hello ESA friends,

On behalf of the local organisers, we’re pleased to announce that the submissions of individual talks for the ESA European Meetings in Helsinki (6 September - 8 September) are now open!

IMPORTANT REMINDERS
As announced recently and at the member’s meeting in Bogotá, ESA has a new website and management system.  This means that your username and password from the old site will not work!

If you already are a 2024 member (that is, you’ve paid your 2024 dues), then you have an account on the new system, under the email address you used to purchase your membership.  You will have been sent a welcome message with a temporary password and instructions for changing it.  If you didn’t receive this, you can request a temporary password be sent to you using the login on the main ESA site.

If you are not yet a 2024 member, then you will not have an account on the system (unless you have created one yourself since the changeover last week).  When you go through the talk submission process, you will have an opportunity to create your account.  Remember that membership is not required to submit a talk for consideration, but will be required to register for the conference and have your talk on the program if accepted.

The submission deadline for talks is July 8.  Note that ESA has adopted Hawaii time as its time zone for talk submission deadlines.  Nevertheless, because this is a new system, you should allow for the unexpected, and so please do not wait until the last minute to submit your talks.  We will not be extending this deadline!

Should you encounter any problems or questions in creating your ESA account or submitting your talk, please contact me (Ted) on in...@economicscience.org.  The local organisers won’t be able to help you with the system, and anyway they will have plenty to be keeping them busy getting ready for us all to visit them in September
