We are pleased to announce a call for applications for a postdoctoral fellowship at Vilnius University (Lithuania), at the Center for Economic Expertise, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration.
The position is part of a research project that combines laboratory and online experiments to study how individuals form trust in AI-based advice and how this trust shapes economic and policy-relevant decision-making. The successful candidate will work closely
with an international team of researchers on all aspects of the project, including experimental design, implementation, data analysis, and preparation of peer-reviewed publications.
Fellowship details:
Duration: Up to 36 months
Location: Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Vilnius University, Lithuania
Salary: EUR 36,500 per year (full-time, including taxes)
Expected start date: September 2026
Requirements for candidates:

PhD in economics, behavioral/experimental economics, or a closely related field (awarded within the last 5 years, outside Vilnius University).

Strong expertise in experimental methods, including design and execution of laboratory and/or online experiments.

Advanced skills in econometrics and causal inference; proficiency in Stata, R, or Python.

Experience with experimental and survey platforms (Qualtrics, oTree, z-Tree) and data collection tools is highly desirable.

Interest or experience in AI applications and computational methods, including large language models, machine learning, or AI-assisted experimental designs.

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage deadlines.

Strong academic writing skills and motivation to publish in high-quality international journals.

Excellent command of English (C1 or higher).
