ESA World Meetings - Los Angeles, CA July 14th-17th

Dear friends and colleagues,

The 2026 ESA World Meetings will be held at the Marriott Resort Hotel in Marina del Rey, California, just half a mile from Venice Beach and an easy 15-minute car ride from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The conference will open with a welcome reception on the evening of Tuesday, July 14th, and continue through Friday, July 17th. 

 

This year is especially meaningful as we celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Economic Science Association. The program will feature contributed and invited presentations, plenary sessions, professional-development opportunities for junior scholars, and lively receptions.  We look forward to celebrating four decades of the ESA and our global community.

•  29 January 2026 – Talk submissions open 

•  16 March 2026 – Talk submissions deadline 

•  30 March 2026 – Notification of acceptance / Registration opens

•  4 May 2026 – Deadline for early registration 

•  8 June 2026 – Registration closes

 

Conference fees:

•  Early registration faculty: $500

•  Early registration student: $350

•  Early registration LMIC faculty: $350

•  Early registration LMIC student: $250

•  Late registration faculty: $600

•  Late registration student: $450

•  Late registration LMIC faculty: $500

•  Late registration LMIC student: $350

 

The conference venue is surrounded by restaurants, walking paths, and ocean views, with convenient access to Santa Monica, Venice, and greater Los Angeles. This summer also brings the FIFA World Cup to Los Angeles, with the quarterfinal match taking place nearby at SoFi Stadium on Friday, July 10th, so plan to book your travel early. Additional details regarding hotel rates and other conference resources will be announced soon.
