Dear all,
Urs Fischbacher, together with Moath Hussien, Johannes Schrön, Julia Werner and Irenaeus Wolff, will offer a course on Programming Economic Experiments (lab & online) with z-Tree 6 from *February 23 to February 25 2026*.
The course will provide a comprehensive introduction to z-Tree with many examples. It will cover a variety of facets of z-Tree, starting with basic concepts, individual and group decision-making experiments, and ending with more complex programming and conducting sessions on the third day of the course. The new version of z-Tree (will be released as a beta version soon!) allows conducting experiments in the browser without the need of a specific client program. With this, you can recruit participants via Prolific and other online platforms. The course will be held in-person at the University of Konstanz.
Please see the attached pdf for a more detailed outline of the course.
The course is free of charge and does not require previous knowledge in programming with z-Tree. To register, please send an email to Madeleine Hafner (office.fi...@uni-konstanz.de) *by January 31*, 2026 with your name, email address and your affiliation. Places for in-person participation are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis up to the maximum number of 50 participants. Please note that we cannot cover any travel expenses. We will let you know whether your place is confirmed as soon as we receive your email.
See you at Lake Constance!
Kind regards,
Julia Werner
