Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to invite submissions to the Symposium “AI and the Future of Work”, to be held at the Einstein Center Digital Future (ECDF) in Berlin, Germany on 23–24 June 2026. The symposium is jointly organized by the Berlin Center for AI Research in Economics and Management (BAIREM) and the Collarobrative Research Center "Rationality and Competition" and presented in collaboration with the Einstein Center Digital Future. The symposium aims to foster evidence-based and interdisciplinary exchange to advance understanding of the fast-paced and socially important transformations of the workplace driven by AI. We welcome theoretical, experimental, and empirical contributions that address how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reshaping work, organizational practices, and labor market outcomes.
The Call for Papers is now open (attached to this email). Submission deadline is March 15th.
Submissions are invited to two tracks, covering (but not limited
to) the following topics:
Track 1:
• Incentives, productivity, learning, and behavioral responses in
AI-augmented environments
• AI-driven task allocation, job design, skill demand, and labor
market outcomes
• Organizational design, communication, and collaboration in
AI-augmented teams
• Trust, reliance, and strategic behavior under algorithmic advice
• Labor market effects of AI, including sorting, matching, and
inequality
Track 2:
• AI in managerial decision-making, leadership, and strategic
planning
• AI-enabled innovation, digital transformation, and
organizational control
• AI-driven transformation of marketing processes and customer
interactions
• Implications of AI for accounting, auditing, and reporting
practices
• Human–AI collaboration, hybrid teaming, and human resource
management
• Ethical, legal, and accountability challenges of AI deployment
and disclosure
