The Economics Department and Finance Department at Durham University Business School offer a range of funded PhD scholarships.
Thanks to our collaboration with the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), interested candidates could potentially apply to a NINE DTP collaborative studentship with the support of the CMA, subject to approval by the CMA. Funding opportunities
There are a range of scholarship opportunities to pursue a PhD in Economics and Finance at Durham:
The Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) NINE DTP studentships.
The ESRC offers a range of studentships available for a 3-year PhD, or a Masters by Research and PhD (1+3 year), or a 3.5-year PhD plus research training.
Durham-Chinese Scholarships Council (CSC) studentships.
The scholarships are open to applicants from Mainland China wishing to study for a PhD at Durham. There are 20 awards available in all disciplines.
Durham University Business School scholarships.
Research Centre scholarships.
Durham Doctoral Teaching Fellowship (DDTF)
The DDTF are open to applicants who qualify to pay home (UK) fees and offers a 4.5 year PhD combined with teaching.
