Dear colleagues,

You are invited to submit a paper to the 6th COMPUTATIONAL AND EXPERIMENTAL ECONOMICS  WORKSHOP that will be held from June 2-3, 2026, at the BSE Summer Forum, Barcelona.

This two-day workshop brings together researchers at the intersection of Computational Economics and Experimental Economics. While traditionally distinct, these areas have recently seen a surge in cross-collaboration, driven by advances in machine learning and large language models. In particular, advances in agent-based models and AI tools are enabling new approaches to modeling bounded rationality, belief formation, and strategic behavior. These approaches are now used to simulate sophisticated artificial agents and to analyze experimental data, opening new opportunities for collaboration between computational and experimental economics.

In addition to the workshop, there will be a summer school on the same topic.
Applications by Phd students and postdocs are welcome. Find the information here.

The workshop submission deadline is February 28, 2026.

Best regards,

Mikhail Anufriev (University of Technology Sydney)
Herbert Dawid (Bielefeld University)
Rosemarie Nagel (ICREA-UPF and BSE)
Valentyn Panchenko (University of New South Wales)
Yaroslav Rosokha (Purdue University)
