Deadline (now 8/18) and early registration (now 8/25) extension for 2023 North American Meetings of the ESA in Charlotte

Krista and I have had a few requests for late submissions to the program. As such, we have decided to extend the abstract submission deadline until 8/18 and the early registration deadline until 8/25. The submission portal on the ESA website should be open; if not, please let us know. Anyone who submitted a presentation by the initial 7/21 deadline should have received an acceptance decision email yesterday.

 

In addition, there will be a mentoring session by Yan Chen during lunch on Saturday that will be followed by a special session in honor of Catherine Eckel, organized by Lise Vesterlund, to follow.

The 2023 North American Meeting of the Economic Science Association will be held in Charlotte, North Carolina. The conference will be held at the UNC Charlotte Marriott Hotel & Conference Center from Friday October 20^th-Sunday October 22^nd. The hotel is on the UNC Charlotte campus, which is about a 15-20 minute drive from the Charlotte Douglas International Airport. The UNC Charlotte campus is also located about 10 miles northeast of the city center. For those who want to venture into Uptown Charlotte (the city center) while here, there is a light rail station located at the hotel that runs from campus into the city center.

 

General conference information (deadlines, rates, etc.) is available at https://www.economicscience.org/page/conference/2023-north-american-esa-meeting-charlotte-unc-charlotte-nc. The deadline for abstract submission is August 18^th, 2023 and the deadline for early registration is August 25^th, 2023. Registration and presentation information submission for the conference is through the ESA website: https://www.economicscience.org/. You will need to log in to the site and select the conference in order to submit a talk.

 

Plenary speakers for the conference are Marina Agranov, David Cooper, and Tim Salmon.

There will be a pre-conference workshop, The Third Workshop on Experimental Economics and Entrepreneurship, on October 18^th and 19^th, 2023, prior to the main conference. Anyone who registers for the main ESA conference may attend the workshop. For anyone who wants to attend the pre-conference workshop but not the main conference, please inquire at esacon...@uncc.edu. We will be using the esacon...@uncc.edu email address for communication about the conference.
