Dear experimental and behavioural economics researchers,You’re all invited to submit your work for presentation at the annual Canadian Experimental and Behavioural Economics Research Group sessions, as part of the annual Canadian Economics Association meetings (https://www.economics.ca/cea2026). We’ll be meeting this year in Vancouver, known for both its culture and nature. This year, we plan to offer one or two “lightning sessions.” These sessions are intended for presentations of work in the early stages – i.e., before you’ve run data collection – and are ideal for PhD students and postdocs. This is in addition to a number of traditional sessions for those wishing to present work closer to completion.
This year’s banquet will be on the Saturday (May 30) evening. Needless to say, Vancouver never lacks exciting food.
For those who run their own lab, we’re hosting a CEBERG Lab Directors Breakfast again. Like last year, this will provide an opportunity for lab directors to network, explore opportunities for collaboration, and build community. We will send out a separate call to identify and invite all lab directors soon.
When filling out your submission through the CEA portal, please make sure to identify your work as part of the CEBERG sessions. Please include a note indicating "lightning" in the special notes section if you wish to be included in a lightning session; otherwise we will assume you wish to be included in a traditional session and assess your submission accordingly. The current deadline for submissions is February 13th, 2026.
We look forward to seeing you all and hearing about all the great work being done.
Cheers,
CEBERG Executive Committee (Jason Childs, Tongzhe Li, Bradley Ruffle, and Stephanie Thomas)
