Dear all,
The Tinbergen Institute Amsterdam is organizing an interdisciplinary summer school titled “Gender in Society.”
This summer school aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the connection between gender and society. It takes an interdisciplinary approach to explore various trends and theoretical perspectives applied to significant societal challenges, such as the persistent gender wage gap and the underrepresentation of women. Our focus will be on analyzing the root causes of these issues and examining potential government interventions. Additionally, the program will cover a range of empirical research methods used to study this relationship, such as experimental techniques and causal inference, offering participants practical insights into conducting research.
The summer school will take place on July 8-12, onsite in Amsterdam. The program, co-taught by Katharina Brütt and Klarita Gërxhani, is aimed at master's and Ph.D. students but is also open to practitioners. Applications are open until June 10. Successful participants receive a certificate of participation stating that the summer school is equivalent to a workload of 3 ECTS.
