8th REECAP Meeting in Ljubljana - Call for abstracts

Dear colleagues,

 

It’s our great pleasure to invite you to the 8th Annual REECAP Meeting, organised by the REECAP board and the University of Ljubljana, Biotechnical Faculty. The meeting will take place in Ljubljana (Slovenia) on 22nd–24th June 2026.

 

The conference will take place over three days and will feature a keynote presentation, parallel sessions with oral presentations and a panel discussion. The meeting will conclude with an excursion to a nature reserve preserving the biodiversity of agricultural landscapes.

Call for abstracts is NOW OPEN!

 

The annual meeting’s objective is to strengthen and enlarge the REECAP community and disseminate research and policy advice in the field of agricultural policy. We welcome contributions from the fields of behavioural and experimental agricultural economics (finished or work-in-progress) focused on agricultural and food systems policies (e.g., the CAP), the environment, biodiversity, climate, or agricultural landscapes. Specifically, we invite:

• Applications of experimental methods to agricultural and agri-environmental themes: laboratory, field, lab-in-the-field, randomised controlled trials (RCT), discrete choice experiments (DCE);
• Quasi-experimental work in the field of agricultural economics and agri-environmental policy and agri-food business economics with clear links to policy questions;
• Work using behavioural insights or economic psychology to improve food, agricultural, and agri-environmental policies;
• Experimental designs.

 

Authors are encouraged to submit their latest research, case studies, and advancements aligned with the conference theme and topics of interest.

 

Please send your contribution (i.e. an abstract of 500 words / 3700 characters maximum) before the 20th of February 2026 using this link:

REECAP will also award a Prize to the best contribution by an early-career researcher. Eligible researchers who have not yet earned their PhD or who have completed it in 2023 or later are invited to use the above link to submit an extended abstract (2 pages / 7300 characters). Contributions will be assessed based on an extended abstract and a presentation at the conference by the Scientific Committee of the REECAP meeting.

 

Authors of accepted submissions will be notified by the 5th of April 2026.
