Subject: Inviting Submissions to a Special Issue on "Social Norms: Enforcement, Breakdown & Polarization" (handled by Balafoutas, Dimant, Gächter & Krupka) at the European Economic Review (EER)
Dear all,
Erin Krupka, Loukas Balafoutas, Simon Gächter, and I are extremely excited to announce a special issue on “Social Norms: Enforcement, Breakdown & Polarization” that we will be handling jointly at the European Economic Review (EER).
We aim to bring together cutting-edge research from economics to illuminate and advance the scientific discourse around the enforcement, breakdown, and establishment of new norms and their relationship to polarization. Our objective is to cover a broad spectrum of methodological approaches, including theoretical, empirical, and experimental research at the individual, group, and cultural levels of analysis. We are particularly open to empirical research done with non-standard participants that help shed light on the broader implications and robustness of the findings across diverse populations, contexts, and cultures.
Submissions for the special issue begin on November 1, 2022, with the final deadline for submission being May 1, 2023. I attach the CfP document containing more information for your convenience. Starting November 1, you can submit your paper directly via the EER website: https://www.journals.elsevier.com/european-economic-review/call-for-papers/social-norms-enforcement-breakdown-polarization
We are excited to receive your submissions! Please reach out to me if you have any questions.
Best,
Eugen (on behalf of Erin, Loukas & Simon)
