Call: 2026 Vernon L. Smith Excellence Award in Experimental Finance

Dear Colleagues,

 

The Society for Experimental Finance is happy to announce the call for nominations for the 2026 Vernon L. Smith Excellence Award in Experimental Finance for the most outstanding article published in a peer-reviewed journal in 2025 which can be categorized as ‘Experimental Finance’.

 

We invite the author, or representative of the authors, of the winning paper to present that paper at the SEF annual conference from June 15-17, 2026 in Toulouse, France.

 

We would like to invite you to nominate a paper that has been published in 2025 and can be categorized as ‘Experimental Finance’. The date must be the in-print date rather than the online date. You may send the nomination via an email to off...@expfin.org. Please write ‘VERNON SMITH EXCELLENCE AWARD’ in the subject line. Nominations of own papers are permissible.

 

A panel will evaluate the papers and decide the winner. The panel members are:

Camelia Kuhnen (University of North Carolina)

Zwetelina Iliewa (University of Bonn)

Tibor Neugebauer (University of Luxembourg)

Olga Rud (University of Stavanger)

 

The deadline for submitting a nomination is March 15, 2026.
