Dear ESA community,

We are pleased to announce the next edition of the Bogotá Experimental Economics Conference (BEEC) on January 15th and 16th, 2026 hosted by the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.

This year we are honored to welcome three distinguished keynote speakers: Uri Gneezy (UCSD, Rady School of Management), Kirby Nielsen (Caltech), and Sevgi Yuksel (New York University).

The conference will focus on research using lab/field experiments or behavioral theory. We invite you to submit your extended abstracts or full manuscripts. Applications are open to researchers in all ranks. We particularly encourage submissions from experimentalists based in, or conducting research in, Latin America. To submit your proposal, please complete the submission form on this link by October 7th.

BEEC aims to strengthen connections within the Latin American experimental community and to integrate that community with experimentalists worldwide. This single-track conference will feature about 20-25 talks and will provide a friendly, collaborative atmosphere for all participants. Since its start in Antigua, Guatemala (2012) and its edition at Universidad del Rosario (Bogotá), BEEC has become a key event for experimental economists in the region. We at Javeriana are excited to continue this tradition and to receive your submissions.

If you are thinking of combining the conference with academic or tourist visits in Colombia (e.g., the Caribbean coast, the coffee region, or an extended stay in Bogotá), please email us, we’re happy to help coordinate logistics and academic contacts. Likewise, if anyone needs us to review their submission before the deadline because they must coordinate travel, stays, institutional letters, or related arrangements, please get in touch and we’ll prioritize an early review.

We can also arrange visits to the Department of Economics at Javeriana after the conference. If you’d like to organize a seminar, meeting, or joint activity, let us know.
