Dear Colleagues,
Louis Putterman (Brown University) has made several path-breaking contributions to our field studying several important topics including cooperation, trust, institutions and institution formation, in addition to methodological contributions that advance the design of experiments.
Louis has also made pioneering contributions to long-run economic growth and development studying economic history, the role of institutions, state formation and path dependence of development.
Economic Inquiry is pleased to host a Special Issue honouring the contributions of Louis Putterman. The Issue will host papers from both the major streams of Louis' work.
In this forum, we would particularly like to invite submissions related to Louis' experimental work. The guest editors for the experimental stream are:
- Abhijit Ramanlingam, Appalachian State University
- Kenju Kamei, Keio University
- Jean-Robert Tyran, University of Vienna
Deadline for submissions: August 31, 2026
The attached Call for Papers contains submission instructions. The CfP also has info on the editorial teams and contact info for both streams.
All submissions will be held to the same standard as regular submissions to Economic Inquiry.
Please consider submitting your best work to this issue, and share this CfP with interested researchers.
Regards,
(on behalf of the editorial team)
