The Southern Economic Journal is publishing “A Symposium on Combining Economic Theory and Experiments in Honor of James C. Cox.”   
With an academic career spanning over 50 years, Jim has made numerous influential contributions to the field of experimental economics from auctions to risk aversion to trust and reciprocity to optimal search. Throughout his career, Jim’s research has emphasized
 the importance of the interplay between theory and experiments, helping to shape the methodological approach of our profession. Among his many other professional accomplishments, Jim was the President of the Southern Economic Association and is a Distinguished
 Fellow of the Southern Economic Association.  
Submissions are being handled through the SEJ’s regular submission portal and go through the standard peer review process. To be considered for the symposium, you must select this option when submitting the paper.  If you are
