We are delighted to announce the 2nd Berlin PhD Conference, which will take place from July 6 to 8, 2026, at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin.
Following the success of our inaugural edition, which focused on Microeconomic Theory and Behavioral Economics, we are pleased to expand the conference this year to include Applied Microeconomics. Accordingly, the conference will feature two parallel workshops:
Microeconomic Theory & Behavioral Economics
Applied Microeconomics
The conference aims to bring together doctoral students and recent graduates to foster discussion and collaboration within and across the fields of microeconomic theory, behavioral economics, and applied microeconomics.
We are also happy to announce that our workshop will feature keynote lectures by Jeanne Hagenbach (Sciences Po, CNRS) and Botond Kőszegi (University of Bonn and CEU).
We welcome submissions of full papers or extended abstracts. To ensure a strong focus on early-career researchers, submissions are open only to current PhD students (at the time of submission). Applications are encouraged from around the world. There is no conference fee, and accommodation will be provided for accepted speakers.
Submission deadline: January 25, 2026
