This November 2026, JILAEE will co-organize two outstanding academic events bringing together leading scholars in experimental and behavioral economics in Buenos Aires:
🔴 November 4–8, 2026The next edition of The Chicago School in Experimental Economics (CSEE) which will take place at Universidad del CEMA, is organized by
the
Joint Initiative for Latin American Experimental Economics | JILAEE, Universidad del CEMA, and the University of Chicago. This edition is also funded by Universidad del CEMA and the Gracias Center for Human Sciences and Well-being.
The goal of the summer school is to deepen scholars’ understanding and knowledge of frontier experimental methods. The summer school will feature an intensive one-week course based on the forthcoming textbook, Experimental Economics: Theory and Practice by John List (University of Chicago). The full spectrum of designing, conducting, analyzing, and interpreting data from experiments will be covered. In addition, attendants will have the opportunity to present and discuss their research.

Applications are open for those that (i) work with experimental methods, (ii) are interested in applying them in the future or (iii) teach or want to incorporate experimental methods in their classes.
Priority will be given to junior faculty, but applications are open to (post)-doctoral students as well.

Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, are organizing the Workshop in Behavioral and Experimental Economics – B
uenos Aires (WBEE-BA). This edition has also the collaboration of
Becker Friedman Institute for Economics for Latin America and LACEA
Confirmed keynote speakers are George Lowenstein (Carnegie Mellon University) and Drazen Prelec (MIT). The scientific committee: Julio Elías, will select 10 papers to be presented during the two-day workshop. Each presenter will have 45 minutes to present the paper and adjourn questions.
You can either submit your paper or register to attend the workshop as an audience member.
