Dear ESA membership,
This is a reminder that nominations for ESA Offices close this Friday, March 6th. You are welcome to nominate candidates for the following Economic Science Association offices:
- Asia-Pacific Vice-President (2-year term eligible for reappointment; outgoing officeholder Erte Xiao)
- Americas Vice-President (2-year term eligible for reappointment; outgoing officeholder Alessandra Cassar)
- Vice President of Information, one position (6 year-term, renewable, outgoing officeholder Ted Turocy)
- Americas members of Executive Committee, two positions (3-year term, not renewable; outgoing members: Alex Imas, Judd Kessler)
- Asia-Pacific member of Executive Committee, one position (3-year term, not renewable; outgoing member: Jingjing Zhang).
- Europe/Africa member of Executive Committee, four positions (2 with a 3-year term, 2 with a 2-year term; outgoing members Björn Bartling, Subhasish Modak Chowdhury, Pedro Rey-Biel and Joël van der Weele).
All current ESA members are eligible to hold each of these offices except those who have previously held the same office.
We are looking for broad and diverse representation on the Executive Committee, including field, geographic location, and individual backgrounds.
From these nominations, the Election Committee will propose a limited slate of candidates who are willing to serve, and this slate will be approved by the Executive Committee [Bylaws IV.2]. Voting by all ESA members will take place starting in mid-April, and
the winning candidates will take office at the time of the ESA World Meetings in July.
