Dear all,
We invite you to nominate candidates for the following Economic Science Association prizes:

-ESA Fellows: A fellowship recognizes the lifetime contributions of ESA members who have advanced the frontier of knowledge in economics through the use of laboratory and field experiments.

- ESA Young Scholar Prize: This prize is to be awarded to one young scholar whose research has made a significant contribution to experimental methodology. Nominees must

(a) be under the age of 40; ESA will consider nominations of individuals over the age of 40 who started their research career late, or have had career interruptions, (b) hold an untenured position, or (c) have completed their PhD at most 10 years previously.

- ESA Distinguished Service Award: This award is intended to recognize an individual who has played an outsized role in ESA administration over their career. This award is given to one person every year, typically a former officer of ESA, such as a former President, Treasurer, Vice-President, Journal Editor or other officer who has made particularly valuable contributions to ESA.

- ESA Prize for Exceptional Achievement: This award is intended to recognize up to one researcher per year who has overcome unusually difficult obstacles to achieve success in their research, because the individual is a member of an underprivileged group, has a physical limitation, a difficult family circumstance, or has been adversely affected by political events.

See https://www.economicscience.org/esa_fellows.php for a list of current Fellows and https://www.economicscience.org/esa_prizes.php  for the previous prize winners.

Nominations can be entered until April 1, 2026 at https://forms.gle/h7PS3z1t7rEnicid8.

The information required includes the prize category, the name, position and email address of the nominee; his or her CV; and a nomination statement.

When considering possible nominees, please keep in mind the importance of having broad representation, including field, geographic location, and individual backgrounds.

The Awards and Fellows Committee will consider all nominations that have been received and will make a selection of the new fellows and reward recipients.

The awards will be announced at the next World Meeting in July in Los Angeles.

Thank you!

The 2026 ESA Awards and Fellows Committee,

Lea Cassar, VP Americas

Ben Greiner, VP Europe-Africa

Andrew Schotter, Fellow

Erte Xiao, VP Asia-Pacific

Marie Claire Villeval, Fellow (Chair)
