Dear all:
We are thrilled to announce the 3rd Freiburg PhD-Workshop on the Economics of Criminal Behavior, taking place September 28-30, 2026 at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Crime, Security and Law!
The workshop promises unique opportunities for early career researchers to connect with leading experts, engage in lively discussions about criminal behavior and crime prevention from innovative perspectives (explicitly including those of experimental economics), and to present own ideas and projects for constructive feedback.
This year we have:
- keynote lectures by Kristiina Huttunen (Aalto University) and Tom Kirchmaier (LSE),
- compact courses by Tim Friehe (Marburg University) and Svenja Hippel (University of Bonn),
- a visit of our institute’s lab for experiments in virtual reality (the MAXLab),
- and of course your presentations with enough time to discuss!
For more information please see: https://s.gwdg.de/AzUawA
Make sure to apply before July 5, 2026!
We look forward to welcoming you in Freiburg! The one in Germany... ;-)
Best,
Hannes
