Dear colleagues,
I am currently growing my team and looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Sustainability Policy Lab at IT:U – Interdisciplinary Transformation University in Linz - a new public/technical University in Austria. The position is meant to focus on experimental and behavioral economics, causal inference, and data-driven policy evaluation including AI/ML applications in the context of climate and environmental policy, but there is flexibility in foci depending on the candidate's background and interest.
The position is full-time, for up to four years, starting 1 October 2026 and comes with an attractive salary and a couple of employee perks including a free public transport pass for the region etc. You will also be surrounded by a great network of colleagues who enjoy interdisciplinary work environments and from whom there is much to learn from!
Preferably candidates hold a PhD in economics or a related quantitative discipline; have strong research record (or publication potential); particular expertise in experimental and/or behavioral economics, causal inference, field or laboratory experiments, econometrics, or machine learning; and very good English.
