Dear all,

The Department of Technology, Management and Economics of the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) is organizing a Ph.D. Summer School addressing the topic “Behavioural Economics and the Environment.”

The Summer School will take place from June 03 to June 07, 2024, at DTU Campus in Kongens Lyngby (near Copenhagen), Denmark.

OBJECTIVES

The Summer School will focus on the intersection of behavioural and environmental economics, with a particular emphasis on using experimental methods. The overall objective of the course is to deepen the participants’ knowledge and understanding of how to use insights from behavioural economics and experimental methods to investigate environmental problems. The course will cover (i) behavioural economics applied to the environment, (ii) designing, conducting and analyzing experiments applied to the environment, and (iii) the usage of experiments to inform policymakers. During the course, participants will work on a research project that will give them hands-on experience in conducting experiments. The students will present the project at the end of the course. Successful completion of the project will result in the award of 3 ECTS credits. Additionally, the participants will have the opportunity to present and discuss their research.
