Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that the first edition of the International Summer School in “Experimental Auctions for Agricultural and Applied Economics: Theory and Applications” will be hosted by the Department of Management, University of Verona, Italy.

The school will take place biennially, and this year it will be held in Verona from June 15th to June 19th, 2026.

Participants will gain hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and analyzing auctions in laboratory and online settings, including preregistration, power analysis, and data modeling. The program combines practical group work, presentations, and discussions, and focuses on interpreting results and translating findings into actionable insights for research, business, and policy.

The Summer School will be taught by leading experts in the field:
Jayson Lusk (Oklahoma State University), Rudy Nayga (Texas A&M University), Andreas Drichoutis (Agricultural University of Athens), Vincenzina Caputo (Michigan State University), and Claudia Bazzani (University of Verona).
