Dear Colleagues,
It is my pleasure to invite you to participate in the CIVICA Liability & AI Regulation (CLAIR) Workshop, which will take place on 1–2 December 2025 at the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH).
The CLAIR Workshop is an interdisciplinary event organised within the CIVICA European University Alliance, bringing together legal scholars, economists, policymakers, behavioural scientists, and industry experts to explore the evolving landscape of AI liability regulation in the European Union.
Despite the withdrawal of the AI Liability Directive (AILD), momentum for debating about challenges of AI liability remains strong. This workshop aims to provide evidence-based foundations for the ex-post supervision of AI in the EU, addressing misinformation in the innovation debate and discussing how to strike the right balance between innovation and accountability.
We warmly welcome submissions of abstracts (max. 500 words), extended abstracts, or full papers engaging with these themes.
Please submit your contribution by 31 October 2025 via this form:
The workshop will feature keynote lectures by:
• Jan De Bruyne (KU Leuven)
• Beatriz Botero Arcila (Sciences Po)
Published proceedings will follow the event, contributing to the broader debate on systemic AI regulation in Europe.
We would be very grateful if you could also share this invitation within your networks and encourage colleagues interested in law and technology, governance, and policy to join us.

We look forward to your participation and contributions to this timely discussion.
With best regards,
Artur Bogucki
