Dear ESA Community,

The Economic Science Association’s first sub-regional meeting in Southeast Asia (2026 ESA-Southeast Asia) will be held at the Faculty of Economics, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. The conference will be held in person on December 17–19, 2026.

The conference will provide a leading forum for researchers at all career stages, based in the region and elsewhere. We invite submissions of research papers on experimental and behavioral economics and their applications to public policy. We welcome contributions from scholars worldwide and particularly encourage research from, about, or relevant to Southeast Asia.

We have confirmed two keynote speakers:

·       Marco Casari (University of Bologna)

·       Yohanes Eko Riyanto (Nanyang Technological University)

The deadline for submission is September 21, 2026, and the acceptance notifications will be sent out no later than October 2, 2026.

Anyone may submit a paper (even without an ESA membership), but registration requires active ESA membership (concessions are available based on country affiliation). Please submit an abstract through the ESA website submission link.

Registration Fees

·       Early Registration (Deadline: October 26, 2026)

o   Faculty (High-Income Countries): US$350

o   Faculty (Middle-/Low-Income Countries) & Students (High-Income Countries): US$275

o   Students (Middle-/Low-Income Countries): US$200

·       Standard Registration (Deadline: November 9, 2026)

o   Faculty (High-Income Countries): US$450

o   Faculty (Middle-/Low-Income Countries) & Students (High-Income Countries): US$375

o   Students (Middle-/Low-Income Countries): US$300
