ESA Africa Final Registration Deadline: This Sunday, 15 October

Dear ESA community,

This is a reminder that the final registration deadline for the 2023 ESA Africa Regional Conference is this Sunday, 15 October. 

To register for the conference you must be an ESA member and pay the conference registration fee via the ESA Website. 

You need Sign In to the ESA website (https://economicscience.org) using your credentials before registering as an ESA member and paying the conference registration fee.

Please ensure that you add your ESA membership to your shopping cart together with your ESA Africa conference registration, because you cannot register for the conference unless you are an ESA member.

Registration fees differ according to the location of your university and are based on the World Bank’s classification of economies.

To check your country’s classification (e.g., Upper-Middle-Income Economies, High-Income Economies, etc.) visit: https://datahelpdesk.worldbank.org/knowledgebase/articles/906519-world-bank-country-and-lending-groups 

Please check the World Bank site carefully, to make sure you pay the appropriate registration fee. For example, South Africa is an upper-middle income economy, and people based at a South African university must therefore pay the registration fee of $150.

The conference will run from 09:00 - 18:00 on 14 and 15 December, and the welcome reception takes place during the evening of 13 December.

We suggest you book your flights and accommodation as soon as possible, because fares escalate and availability decreases the closer one gets to December.

We hope to see you in Cape Town in December.
